Ignite is the new game engine that EA Sports will use for all its next-generation sports video games, including the new NBA Live 14, the 25-year anniversary edition of Madden NFL and the UFC series.

At E3 2013, the company devoted a whole laboratory to its next-generation technology and its impressive new features.

For UFC, the team did not show a full product, but a limited demo focused on the way fighters' faces were being simulated in the game and the various moves that they would be able to perform once combat starts.

Ignite will make the entire game experience smoother, with a focus on split-second decisions that can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

UFC will try to stay as close as possible to the reality of the sport and gamers will see each of their favorite fighters and their favorite moves in virtual form, with powerful kicks and grabs crucial for overall success.

For NBA Live 14, EA Sports showed how the core engine performed, allowing fans to take a few shots at the basket and see how the players were animated.

Ignite does a good job, with a lot of animation elements designed to show how each player in the National Basketball Association approaches the various phases of the game.

The demo for Madden NFL 25 was more complete, with the team giving fans a chance to see how Ignite will allow each player to influence a play and how their unique real-world abilities will be simulated in order to give gamers more options with their favorite team.

Both NBA Live 14 and Madden NFL 25 are set to launch on the PC, current and next-gen devices before the end of the year.

The new UFC will be available on the same platforms in the spring of 2014.
