Bethesda didn't arrive empty-handed at this year's E3 2011 conference, as the developer and publisher decided to hype up its next big release, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, by releasing brand new details, a gameplay video as well as a few new screenshots.

Skyrim is set to be one of the many big games that will appear at the end of this year, and will no doubt give all other role-playing games, including The Witcher 2 or Dragon Age 2, a run for their money in terms of quality, story and gameplay.

Bethesda has been working hard on the new game for quite some time, and E3 is the first event where players can get a hands-on with the Skyrim, just like we did yesterday.

In case you're not familiar with Bethesda's popular Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim aims at delivering a more dynamic experience to the franchise, with a complete virtual open world, that can be explored through a variety of ways by the player, who controls a prophesized Dragonborn, who needs to rise up against the upcoming dragon invasion and rescue the world of man.

Check out the big features of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, as highlighted by Bethesda, below.

- Epic Fantasy Reborn. Skyrim reimagines the open-world fantasy epic, pushing the gameplay and technology of a virtual world to new heights. - Live another life, in another world. Play any type of character you can imagine, and do whatever you want; the legendary freedom of choice, storytelling, and adventure of The Elder Scrolls is realized like never before. - All new graphics and gameplay engine. Skyrim's new game engine brings to life a complete virtual world with rolling clouds, rugged mountains, bustling cities, lush fields, and ancient dungeons. - You are what you play. Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities. The new character system allows you to play any way you want and define yourself through your actions. - Dragons return. Battle ancient dragons like you've never seen. As Dragonborn, learn their secrets and harness their power for yourself. Skyrim is set to appear on November 11, this year, but you can get a quick glimpse of it in the screenshots and video below.
