Gears of War 3 is going to bring the longest story mode its developer, Epic Games, has ever made, with franchise creator Cliff Bleszinski confirming that it will overtake the previous titles in the series.

Epic Games is getting ready to deploy the biggest title in its history, with Gears of War 3 finishing the trilogy developed by the North American studio.

We've already heard about the special Xbox 360 Gears of War 3 bundle, but now, it's time to detail the actual title, as Cliff Bleszinski confirmed to CVG that the story mode of the game will be the longest the studio has ever made.

"I can tell you this is the longest and thickest campaign Epic has ever produced." commented Bleszinski. "Gears 1 and 2 were roughly about eight or nine hours for the average person, it's at least a few hours more than that. It's thick - and it's not just copy and paste level design. There's all this unique combat, all these story elements; there's a lot of stuff going on. It's quite a journey."

Epic recently held a massive online multiplayer beta for Gears of War 3, in order to gauge consumer reaction to the changes it has implemented, while trying to polish up the experience in order to make sure that players will adore the multiplayer mode in the new game, without repeating the troubled experience that appeared in the second title.

According to Bleszinski, it seems that the story mode will also be bigger and better, in order to satisfy fans, while the actual narrative, which was portrayed in a recent story trailer, is going to properly deliver the end of the trilogy made by Epic.

Gears of War 3 is going to be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 on September 20 all around the world.
