Microsoft is making sure it maximizes profits from its most important Xbox 360 exclusive game this year, Gears of War 3, and during its E3 2011 presentation it has revealed a special themed bundle that will be put on sale this September.

Microsoft knows it can't really match the array of exclusive titles that are coming to the PlayStation 3 in the second half of the year, so it wants to make sure everyone of the 55 million Xbox 360 owners know about the upcoming release of Gears of War 3.

In order to do that, the special Xbox 360 Gears of War 3 limited edition bundle will be released at the end of September, right alongside the actual game.

The bundle, as you can see in the photos attached to this article, includes a special Xbox 360 console, with a red and black paint scheme, as well as two custom Xbox 360 controllers with transforming D-pads, just like the previous, limited run controllers that appeared last year, a 320GB hard drive and built-in wireless connectivity.

"The package also includes a standard copy of “Gears of War 3,” a wired headset, plus a download token for bonus game content including the Infected Omen Weapon Pack and the Adam Fenix character for use in multiplayer," Xbox Live community manager Larry Hryb said.

"The Infected Omen Weapon Pack gives fan the infected omen skin for use on the five starting weapons: Lancer, Retro Lancer, Hammerburst, Gransher, and Sawed-Off Shotgun. Also, the power and eject buttons have been customized with unique sounds from the “Gears of War” universe."

The Gears of War 3 Xbox 360 bundle will be made available on September 20, this year, retailing for $399.

For those who want to take advantage of just the controller, it will be made available separately for $59.99 at that same time.

Until then, check out the photos of the special Xbox 360 console below.
