Looking to buy a tablet but you don’t want to go all out, money wise? Maybe you should look into what California-based company, E Fun has to offer.

Introducing the 8-inch Nextbook, the first tablet to ever come out of the company bundled with a quad-core processor. Surely, by now you have realized I'm talking about a very basic device and you’re not wrong in assuming so.

The 8-incher offers 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and draws power from a 1.6GHz ARM Cortex A9 quad-core processor fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card to 64GB).

Apart from that, there are two cameras onboard (a 2MP one on the back and a 0.3MP one in the front), microHDMI, USB 2.0, G-sensor, b/g/n 802.11 Wi-Fi and a rechargeable lithium ion battery, but we’re not being given the specifics. The slate’s default OS is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

E Fun is widely known for releasing affordable tablets that appeal to everyone, so it won’t come as a shock that the 8-inch Nextbook retails for just $100 / €73.

The slate arrives with a bunch of pre-installed apps including the classic Chrome, Google Talk, Gmail and the likes but also with Barnes and Noble NOOK for Android app that helps users buy and browse new books.
