She is, without a doubt, the most successful reality star ever, having built an entire business empire on a reality show. All this is about to end for Kim Kardashian, says a new report, as E! is threatening to pull the plug on her shows.

As we also noted earlier this week, Kim flew all the way to Minnesota after announcing her divorce, admittedly to talk to Kris Humphries, her husband of 72 days, about the possibility of getting back together.

MediaTakeOut claims that the real reason behind the surprise visit is no honest desire on Kim's part to make things right with Kris again, but rather a desperate need to be on TV.

E! has threatened the star to ax her shows, the same media outlet informs, and she believes getting back with Kris is actually the only way she can convince network bosses that she should continue on air.

“According to an insider over at E! Networks – the channel is considering DROPPING Kim Kardashain’s new show, Kim and Kourtney take Manhattan,” MTO writes.

“In addition, the channel was planning to STOP airing Kim Kardashian’s wedding special,” says the e-zine.

This would translate into huge losses for her and she clearly doesn't want that, now that she's see how wonderful life can be at the top.

Consequently, she's willing to get back with Kris just to keep the show on the air – and preferably break up with him in front of the cameras.

“The loss of the two shows would mean MILLIONS in losses for Kim. She currently is paid more than $2M [€1.45 million] a season for the reality show and she gets 30% of the ad revenue every time her wedding special airs. And equally as important to Kim, it would keep her OFF the TV screens,” MTO writes.

The e-zine even believes it has a good idea of how this will play out, saying, “Expect Kim and that Humphries IDIOT to RECONCILE this week, and break up OFFICIALLY, once Kim’s show airs it’s final episode in December.”

Since Kim announced she had filed for divorce from Kris, she's become the subject of a harsh backlash from fans who now believe she either married for the cameras, to boost ratings of her reality show, or she never intended to get divorced and is now just faking a “reconciliation” for the same reason, ratings.
