Alleged Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been indicted for the Marathon attacks that killed three people and wounded over 250 others.

He has been charged with 30 counts, of which Daily Mail lists carrying and using weapons of mass destruction and carjacking.

Murder and attempted murder are among the counts that he is facing. 17 of the charges carry a death penalty.

The Christian Science Monitor adds that he will also be answering for the murder of officer Sean Collier on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus.

Prosecutors have also revealed his confession letter, written as police were closing in on him while he was hiding on a boat in Watertown.

“I don’t like killing innocent people.... The U.S. Government is killing our innocent civilians…. I can't stand to see such evil go unpunished…. We Muslims are one body, you hurt one you hurt us all.... Stop killing our innocent people, we will stop,” it reads.
