Dynasty Warriors 3: Extreme Legends is a videogame developed and published by KOEI Co. Ltd. The game was released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 home console from Sony in January 2003. It is described as an action title played from a third person perspective featuring some medieval influences.
The game is a standalone expansion to the regular edition of Dynasty Warriors 3. Again, it allows the player to take control over one general in Ancient China times. Each of the selectable characters has their own abilities, akin to magical powers, and their own powers. Selecting one of the generals leads to a story mode, called Musou Mode, which allows them to battle through seven battlefields filled with enemies.
The main aim is to take out all the warriors pitted against you while taking out the enemy generals. One of the main gameplay differences between this and the original release is the system used to advance the bodyguards, which allows the player to name them and also customize their advancement. This iteration is much more oriented towards combat than any title released in the series before it.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Extreme Legends did not get the same favorable reviews as the game it expands upon but a lot of players saw the focus on combat and improved special abilities use as interesting enough to pick it up.
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Get every player on Musou mode
To get every player on Musou mode, you need to load data from your Dynasty Warriors 3 game. Every time you complete a level in free mode with a character that is not currently in Musou mode, you will get that character in Musou mode. For example, if you complete Siege At Hei Fe Castle with Liu Biu, you will get him in Musou mode. GLITCHES
Xu Zhu on ground
Put Xu Zhu as the general for the elephant scene. He will be on the ground hitting people with his club, instead of being on an elephant.
