Version 4.0.10 of the development resources necessary to extend the
Dynamics CRM platform is now available for download from Microsoft. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) went live on the company’s Download Center on November 2nd, 2009, and is currently up for grabs for all devs looking to extend the customer relationship management solution from Microsoft. Developers would be able to take advantage of the package in relation to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Update Rollup 7 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Service Update 4, revealed Jon White, Microsoft Technology Specialist.
“This SDK documentation contains information for developers writing server side code, custom business logic, integration modules, workflow assemblies, and plug-ins. It provides an architectural overview of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the entity model, security model, and Web services. Sample code and walkthroughs are provided to guide you through the new features. It also contains information for developers customizing the Web client or Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook, including scripting, integration of custom Web pages, sample code, and a detailed user interface style guide,” revealed Microsoft.
The Redmond company noted that developers were free to leverage the wealth of items packed into the Microsoft Dynamics SDK in order to build enhancements for Dynamics CRM tailored to specific verticals. More and more companies are taking advantage of the Dynamics CRM platform for management purposes that go beyond what the product was designed for. It will be Microsoft’s vertically oriented partners that can take advantage of the latest release of Dynamics SDK in order to kick the default customer relationship management capabilities up a notch.
