Dynamics AX 2012 Switcher Offer Live at the ERP Solution’s Launch

On the same day that it launched its latest enterprise resource planning solution worldwide, Microsoft introduced the Dynamics AX 2012 Switcher Offer, in an effort to attract customers currently using rival ERP offerings.

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 has been available to customers in 25 countries and 23 languages for over a month, but the company only officially launched the product via a virtual event on September 8, 2011.

"Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is a new generation of business applications. It's the ERP solution that sets customers free and puts them in control of their business," noted Microsoft Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Steve Ballmer. "Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 helps companies be more agile, simplify decision-making and succeed in any environment."

The purpose of the Switcher Offer is to provide incentives to businesses currently leveraging Lawson ERP solutions in order to facilitate their migration to Dynamics AX 2012.

“The first benefit allows eligible partners ordering Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 licenses for customers replacing an existing Lawson ERP system to receive a 50% discount on the standard list price. This offer applies to orders for new customers making their initial purchase of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 during the offer period,” Microsoft stated.

Customers have until June 22, 2012 to make the jump from Lawson M3 or Lawson S3 ERP products (earlier versions also eligible for the discount) to Dynamics AX 2012, and get 50% off on Dynamics AX 2012.

“The initial order must have a minimum of one Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 server license and one user license and a total license value of US $100,000 or greater (or the equivalent in local currency). There is no limit for the maximum order size. Customers can order any combination and number of client access license (CAL) types,” the software giant informed.

But at the same time, the Redmond company is going not only after customers, but also after Lawson consultants and developers.

“The second benefit is a reimbursement that participating partners can receive for training and certifying Lawson M3 or S3 consultants and developers in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012,” Microsoft noted.
