Sony is still working on a permanent fix

Techland's Dying Light may be one of the most popular releases this month, but its launch hasn't been uneventful. Apart from the fact that it got slightly delayed in several countries/regions, lots of PlayStation 4 players who pre-ordered the game can't even download it from PSN.

In fact, the issue is affecting people who bought it after release as well. Even though it's not a general bug that affects all those who purchased Dying Light, it's still pretty widespread and that is a pity because Techland's game is very good as we've already mentioned in our full review.

Now, lots of people have been trying to find workarounds for these issues that will prevent Dying Light owners to download the game on their PlayStation 4s, but their solutions only worked for some.

As of now, there's no solution to this issue that could apply to all those affected, so you might want to try them and hope that one of them will fix the problem for you.

Some also reported that they had been able to finally download Dying Light on their consoles after trying the same workaround numerous times.

So, if you've purchased Dying Light, you will find the game in the Library, but it will show as if it has already been installed. When you want to open the game, you will get an error saying that there's no such application installed on your console and it will direct you to PSN.

When you get to Dying Light page on PSN and try to download the game, you will be redirected to the same page in a never-ending loop. The solution to this issue that worked for some is to add Dying Light to the download queue using a companion app from another device (i.e. smartphone, tablet).

However, many people have been getting the dreadful CE-37700-7 error code while downloading Dying Light. Basically, after adding the game to download queue, you will get this error at some point so you won't be able to download it anymore.

Sony is still looking to patch this issue, but it will take a few more days

There's another solution that seems to have worked for lots of people and has been curated by Sony as well. Here is what you need to do in order to (possibly) download Dying Light on your PS4.

Head to Settings, select PSN, select Restore Licences, click OK, go to My library on PS4, you now get the download option for Dying Light (single player or multiplayer), the download should start now.

If you then get the CE-37700-7 error code, you can try and download the Android or iOS application on your smartphone/tablet and connect it to the PS4. Head to PSN Store and download the game from your mobile devices. Hopefully, this solution will work because Sony does not have a permanent solution to this issue yet.

If one of these workarounds has worked for you let us know in the comments. If you have found another tell us and we'll update the story.
