14 DAY TRIAL // Official confirmation that Aussie singer Kylie Minogue would be joining Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” on the upcoming disaster movie “San Andreas” never came after word of it got out online, but now, we don’t even need it anymore.
It’s a fact: Kylie would be making her return to the big screen in the film, opposite The Rock, and The Rock himself confirmed it on Twitter.
“‘I got sunshine on a cloudy day..’ Welcome the amazing & gorgeous @kylieminogue to the cast of SAN ANDREAS. #WhoaMama,” the actor tweeted with the photo above. I know that Kylie is pint-sized, but standing her so close to The Rock makes her look even smaller. They’re just adorable together, aren’t they?
However, it’s not all fun and games on the set of the movie: because it tells the story of a helicopter-rescue pilot (Johnson) who tries to save his daughter after a massive earthquake hits California, this means that the production is grueling.
In another shot The Rock posted, he’s immerged in water up to his neck and he has a look of concentration on his face that makes me think he’s not about to go for a pleasure swim. He captioned it with: “Water's cold, unforgiving and hard to survive.. (like my 3rd grade girlfriend;). #OnSet #SanAndreas #LetsShoot”
“San Andreas” will be out in theaters in June next year, so if you’re feeling hyped about it already, you will just have to tone it down for a bit longer.
