As the world's fascination with The Rock continues with his newest movie “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” some fans look further into his cinematic efforts and are keen to find out who exactly he will be playing in a rumored upcoming DC project.

Cinemablend got an interview with the imposing actor and their best guess after the discussion is that Dwayne is going to play Lobo. The former wrestler has refused to reveal the identity of the character on several occasions, but this time he was willing to offer some hints.

According to him, the mystery character is emotionally rich and complex, brand new to the screen in order to allow the actor to bring something fresh to the table and he had to be very mean and as powerful as Superman, if not more.

Based on these qualities, the character that best fits the description is Lobo, despite the fact that earlier this year Johnson instagramed a photo that included the hashtag “#JohnStewartCanStillWhupSupermans[Butt],” making a reference to the character of Green Lantern.

For those not familiar with the DC Comics Universe, Lobo is an alien superhero that is a mixture between an interstellar mercenary and a bounty hunter. He was initially presented as a villain when he made his debut in the 1980s, but was soon revived as an anti-hero during the early 1990s.
