Before he gets to work on the fourth “Transformers” film, director Michael Bay is keeping busy with one of his oldest passion projects, a dark comedy inspired by true events called “Pain and Gain.”

We now have the first pictures from the set with the leading men, all playing bodybuilders.

Pics of Mark Wahlberg in character emerged online a couple of days ago and, while they made for an arresting sight because of how beefed up he got for the role, they pale in comparison to those of former pro-wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Click on the image above to see him rocking a baby-blue wifebeater, a pair of very unfortunate pounds and bulging muscles like never before.

If anything, Mark can at least find consolation in knowing that, so far, he's the better dressed of the two.

Also pictured, Ed Harris.
