Microsoft plans to discontinue Windows XP in April, but not all users will manage to move to another platform in time for end of support.

The city of Utrecht, for example, will stick to Windows XP, as the local authorities haven’t managed to complete the transition to another operating system and are very unlikely to do it in the coming months.

A report by UtrechtCentral.com reveals that while the Union of Dutch Municipalities and the National Cyber Security Center warned that everybody needs to move from Window XP due to end of support, Utrecht is yet to move all computers to a more secure operating system.

At this point, Windows XP is powering more than 29 percent of desktop computers worldwide, so many users are very likely to continue running this particular OS version after April.
