A man from China has been uploading photos of his son online, claiming that the five-year-old can fly a plane.

According to the Mirror, national Chinese media confirms that He Liesheng, nicknamed Eagle Dad, has trained his son to fly an aircraft. That would make little He Yide, aka Duo Duo, the youngest pilot in the world.

Duo Duo flew across the Beijing Wildlife Park for 35 minutes and he did it all by himself. He was piloting a Bee 3, a light aircraft weighing 100 kg (220 pounds). He performed the task as an instructor was sitting behind him.

His daily training schedule involves him getting up at 4:30 a.m. for private flying lessons at 5 a.m. The Eagle Dad has also prompted him to learn how to sail and he has entered a yachting competition.

“When the old eagle teaches its young, it takes the young eagles to the cliffside, beats them, and pushes them to teach them to use their wings,” Liesheng told a local newspaper last year.

Also last year, the man was criticized for including running in the snow in nothing but underpants in the child's training routine. The video of the incident that has drawn controversy has been posted below.

“I believe I am helping my son in this way — to force him to challenge limitations and exceed his own expectations,” Liesheng said at the time, as conveyed by NY Post.

He mentioned his son's health being fragile as a child.

“Duo Duo stayed in the hospital for two months after he was born. [...] But since then, he was in perfect health and never sent to hospitals,” Liesheng adds.

Shortly after the child was born, his father made him swim in freezing cold water. At two years old, he took him hiking on a mountain.
