Gearbox Software boss Randy Pitchford once again talked about his studio's upcoming project, Duke Nukem Forever, and how its story is almost three times bigger than the one in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Duke Nukem Forever was stuck in development limbo for almost 13 years, but Gearbox has brought it back to life, and pledged to deliver it next year for all gamers to enjoy.

In a recent interview, Pitchford talked about the game's story, and how it is around three times bigger than the one in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, another first person shooter that went on to sell over 20 million copies last year.

"It's gonna be big," Pitchford revealed. "Duke is a big, triple-A title. The campaign is huge. It's probably three times the size of the last Call Of Duty game. And it's great through and through."

The Gearbox boss says that the game will be filled with spectacular sights and set-pieces that will keep gamers entertained, and remind them that they're dealing with one of the original characters in gaming, Duke Nukem.

"Any time I play I play it, at any given moment, I'm having a great time and I want to see the next moment. There's crazy set-pieces and, in that regard... if you're expecting this to be a fizzle-out, a low budget thing, you're going to be like: 'Holy [expletive]! Oh my God! This is no joke!'"

Still, don't expect perfection, as that can't be achieved, says Pitchford, who reveals that it will still surprise a lot of people just how good it will be, especially since it practically came out of nowhere.

"If you're expecting perfect, there's no such thing as perfect. I don't think anything can up to 12 years, but I think it's astonishing how big it is - especially given how it's suddenly here. To people that are on the outside, it [appears to have] come out of nowhere "

Are you excited about Duke Nukem Forever or did its long development time and studio switch made you uninterested in the game?
