Confirmed more than two weeks ago, Duke Nukem 3D for Android devices has just made its debut in the Android Market.

Developed by Machineworks Northwest, the game is optimized for all newer multi-touch devices, but works on older phones that run Android 1.6, as well.

However, the game runs best on Android tablets, as the developers included native support for large sized devices such as the Motorola XOOM and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The game features dual stick or new “drag to look” controls, and will be installed on the memory card by default.

Duke Nukem 3D is available for purchase via Android Market for $0.99, but only the first episode will be included.

Those who want to adventure even further into the game can orders Episode 2 and 3, which available via Google in-app billing.
