A photo of the basketball team at Duke posing with what some fans believe are automatic weapons is causing uproar.

The team is accused of glamorizing gun use, the Epoch Times details. The photo was taken at the Army's West Point campus, the alma mater of head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

The players apparently used M4s and M240s at the combat simulator. However, the team reveals that they have not been left unattended during the simulation training session.

“The power of an image aside, you can be sure that there were cadets and officers just outside the frame. It didn’t happen in a vacuum,” the Duke Basketball Report writes.

The publication also explained that the players were just posing with laser guns on the one-day trip.
