“All I Want for Christmas” remains Mariah's song, fans are not happy with new version

A short while ago, word got out that Justin Bieber had gotten none other than Mariah Carey to collaborate on a duet for his Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe.” The song, “All I Want for Christmas,” is now out.

Fans (“lambs”) needn't be told that this is one of Mariah's most famous and popular songs. Some might even say Christmas is not Christmas if it's not playing in the background.

With these in mind, it's no wonder fans are not embracing the new version. It's not that it's positively bad, they say on dedicated forums; it's just that it does nothing in terms of improving the original track – on the contrary, it actually spoils it.

Justin Bieber's voice appears Autotoned, especially in the beginning, and he can't seem able to keep up with Mariah.

His fans (the Beliebers), on the other hand, insist that Justin can do no wrong – and he's certainly not doing it with “All I Want for Christmas,” a solid release for the holiday season.

In the end, it could be that beauty is in the eye – or, in this case, the ear – of the beholder. Speak your mind in the comments section below.
