One woman named Adelaya Boardman was recently banned to keep pets for a period of three years, after several investigators discovered that the flat she was living in failed in providing her four-legged companions with the conditions they needed in order to lead a comfortable life.

“[The] flat was not suitable for human habitation, never mind animals,” explained one of the persons who got to have a close look at the mess in Adelaya Boardman's apartment.

Apparently, the woman suffers from mental health problems, which is why the judge chosen to give out a sentence in this case agreed to allow her to further keep cats and dogs indoors, in spite of the aforementioned 3-year ban, as these animals supposedly help make the woman's life easier.

However, the ducks and ferrets found to be living in this apartment were taken away by authorities, and efforts will soon be made to provide them with more suitable homes.

Sources say that, because of all the rubbish that gradually built up in this woman's apartment in Plymouth, all of the animals living with her fell victim to a flea infestation.
