Report claims the heartbreaking loss occurred even before the pregnancy rumor broke

Depending on which tabloid you choose to believe, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is either very happy or going through the most terrible moment of her life. Just a couple of days after US weeklies claimed that she was pregnant with her second child, UK tab The Globe reports that she has had a miscarriage.

Apparently, the Duchess was pregnant with Prince William’s second child but, even before the rumor of the happy news broke in the media (which apparently happened long before the royal couple was even ready to confirm it), she had a miscarriage.

Another rumor claims that Kate was having a baby girl: she’s always wanted a daughter so, since the loss, she’s been having a lot of trouble putting on a brave face for the cameras. What with her busy schedule these days, which includes lots of public appearances, Kate must be going through hell, if any of this is true.

“Ever since the miscarriage, Middleton and Prince William have been a source of support for each other, especially since they had to put on a brave face in public for Prince George's first birthday,” an inside close to the royal family dishes for the Globe’s print edition, as cited by CelebDirtyLaundry.

“The couple has let it be known that they are hoping for three kids in about five years' time and Kate has decided not to let this ordeal prevent her from trying again to expand their family,” the spy adds.

Meanwhile, across the pond, the weeklies are saying that Kate is indeed pregnant and everything is going just fine, even better than the first time around, when she was expecting Prince George. Reports claim that, because Kate is having such a smooth pregnancy with this second child, which she’s convinced is a daughter, she will not make an announcement until she has no other way to conceal her baby bump.

From all these unconfirmed rumors, whether true or not, and the sheer abundance of them in the past couple of weeks, there’s one thing we can conclude: people – or, at least, tabloid media – really wants Kate to add to the royal family and offer Prince George a sibling to play with.

After a rather awkward bump in her journey as public figure with the upskirt photo scandal that saw her accused of not acting according to decorum and thus belittling the institution of the royal British family, Kate has earned her way back into the hearts of millions, mostly with appearances with baby George.

Having another kid as adorable as him would please many, it seems.
