Connectors come in many forms, types and sizes, but there always seems to be room for more, just like there is always room for new PCs, monitors, phones, tablets, etc.

Kanex is the one making a move now, although its customer base is very specific: owners of Apple gadgets.

For those who own a MacBook laptop, the company has launched the DualRole USB 3.0 Hub and Gigabit Adater all-in-one.

It has three USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet connector.

As we said, MacBooks are seen as the main beneficiaries of this item, but any computer should be able to enjoy the extra USB and LAN ports.

The power of the USB bus should be enough for the peripheral, but a 5V wall power adapter is included for when USB-connected devices with higher energy requirements are hooked up.

Zelect retailers and Kanex's website sell the gadget for $69 / 50.91-69 Euro.

FYI 5V wall power adapter isn't included in the box you have to buy seperately
