Nokia 8208 and Nokia 3608 are two brand new CDMA phones that will be released soon by the Finnish giant manufacturer. The handsets have quietly appeared on Nokia's official website and are presented as running on a Series 40 Users Interface.

The 8208 model comes with a dual-sliding design and it's the only non-Nseries Nokia to have this form factor. The handset looks pretty simple, unveiling an alphanumeric keypad when slid down and dedicated music keys when slid up. The features of 8208 include: dual-band CDMA connectivity (800 / 1900 MHz) with EV-DO Rev A, a 2.2 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, built-in GPS, Music player, FM radio, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Brew browser, email, a 3 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, microUSB 2.0, 150MB of internal memory and microSD card support for up to 8GB.

Nokia 8208 weighs 126 grams, measures 101 x 45.2 x 15.9 millimeters (when closed) and comes with a battery that should last up to 4 hours in talk-time mode and up to 11 days in stand-by mode.

Nokia 3608, the second new handset, is a clamshell with dedicated music keys on its front case. The phone brings a 2.0 inch internal display with 262K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, a 1.2 external screen with 128 x 128 pixels and only 65K colors, GPS, dual-band CDMA connectivity (800 / 1900 MHz), Music player, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, a 2.5mm headset jack, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, microUSB 2.0 and 15MB of internal memory expandable with cards of up to 4GB.

There's no word yet on the release dates and prices of the new Nokia handsets but most probably, they will be first released in China, via China Unicom, since there are several references about this carrier in the presentation pages of the phones.

After China, North America should get the handsets too, probably from one of the major CDMA operators (like Verizon or Sprint).
