The smartphone will arrive with Android 4.2.2 loaded on top

Earlier this week, Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE has made official a new device in its Grand series, namely the ZTE Grand S II, and it seems that a dual-SIM flavor of the handset will also arrive on shelves.

The ZTE Grand S II smartphone was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, while the dual-SIM model was spotted in the vendor’s homeland country by cnmo and can be admired in the photos attached to this article.

The upcoming phone variant will be called ZTE Grand S II Dual, and it should feature about the same hardware specifications as the already announced single-SIM iteration.

However, it appears that ZTE will launch it with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, and not with the Android 4.3 platform version, as with the Grand S II.

The dual-SIM iteration of the device will hit shelves with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution at a 401ppi density.

The mobile phone comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor packed inside, as well as with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, paired with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the ZTE Grand S II (both models) packs a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

The specifications list of this smartphone also includes a 3000 mAh battery, LTE connectivity, 3G capabilities, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the usual set of sensors.

ZTE also announced the new device with enhanced voice recognition capabilities, somehow similar with those of the Moto X, as PhoneArena notes.

The ZTE Grand S II Dual is expected to arrive on shelves in China and in other emerging markets around the world, though no specific info on its availability has been provided as of now. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
