The smartphone will ship with Android 4.0 ICS out of the box

It looks like Samsung is about to launch another budget-friendly Android smartphone in India, the Galaxy Y Plus.

According to AndroidOS, the smartphone has recently been spotted on Samsung India site, though Galaxy Y Plus has yet to be officially announced.

No word on pricing and availability yet, but the phone’s specs have been revealed. Samsung Galaxy Y Plus will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and a low-power 850 MHz single-core processor.

Furthermore, the smartphone is said to sport a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB) and 2-megapixel rear camera.

Other highlights of the Galaxy Y Plus include: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with GLONASS, as well as 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery, 3G support and dual-SIM capability.
