Samsung has released to the market another dual-SIM handset, namely the Samsung C5212. This candybar made by the Korean phone maker has become available on the Russian market, and users will be able to acquire it before the end of this month.

The Samsung C5212 enables both supported SIM cards to work on GSM 900 / 1800 frequencies, while also allowing its owner use both cards at the same time. At the same time, users will be able to easily switch between the two SIM-cards through the use of separate keys that are placed at the right end of the shell.

According to the company, the phone is able to remember which SIM card was used last, thus selecting it when an SMS is sent or a call is made. Moreover, users are able to personalize names, icons and ringtones for each SIM-card. In addition, the handset also enables data to be transferred from one SIM to another in a simple manner.

The official specification list of the Samsung C5212 also shows that the dual-SIM phone comes with a screen able to provide a 176 x 220 pixel resolution as well as support for 262K colors. Other features of the handset also include Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, USB 2.0 and 64MB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 8GB of additional storage space.

The new Samsung C5212 features music playing capabilities, coupled with FM radio support, and audio recording functionality, as well as headphones and internal speaker options for listening. The handset sports a 1.3-megapixel camera that also includes video recording capabilities.

The dual-SIM Samsung C5212 is expected to go on sale in other Eastern-European countries, as well as on the Asian market. In Russia, the device can be purchased for around €152 or $194 (6990 rubles), a price that makes it the most affordable Samsung dual-SIM handset.
