The dual-SIM version of Nokia X was officially introduced in India for Rs 8,500 ($140 / €100) and went on sale a few days later.
The smartphone probably sells very well due to its low price and pretty decent features it brings, plus Nokia is one of the most popular brands in India.
However, it appears that Nokia wants to boost sales of its most affordable Android smartphone even further, which is why it has decided to slash a big chunk of its outright price.
Android enthusiasts and Nokia fans in India who have not purchased the Nokia X yet for various reasons may want to take into consideration the new deal offered by the Finnish company.
NDTV Gadgets reports that the dual-SIM version of Nokia X has been discounted on the company’s official online store to Rs 7,729 ($130 / €90) off contract. That’s almost Rs 800 ($13 / €10) cheaper than the original price.
If that’s not cheap enough for you, then you can take advantage of several other Nokia X deals offered by various online retailers across the country, where customers can grab the smartphone for as low as Rs 7,200 ($120 / €85).
One month after its launch in India, the Nokia X’s outright price has been cut by Rs 1,200 ($20 / €15), which is quite a good deal for any Nokia fan who prefers Android over Windows Phone.
For those who are still considering whether or not to take advantage of this offer, here is what they will get for the small price they will have to pay for the Nokia X.
First of all, Nokia X comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, with Fastlane UI on top. The Finnish company removed all Google services and replaced it with its own, so don’t expect to find Google Play Store or Maps included in the phone.
Furthermore, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play processor. It also packs 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The dual-SIM Nokia X sports a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution , and packs a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with video recording.
