It looks like Australia will be the first country to received the dual-SIM version of Motorola Moto G. The smartphone has been launched in various countries for quite some time now, but the dual-SIM model was nowhere to be seen until recently.

AusDroid reports Motorola officially introduced the dual-SIM Moto G in Australia this weekend, but the device will be available for purchase beginning January 21.

Customers in Australia will be able to grab the dual-SIM Moto G for $279 (€180) off contract, but depending on retailer the phone might be a bit cheaper.

For example JB Hifi might sell it for only $243 (€157), while The Good Guys confirmed it will offer the Motorola Moto G for around $247 (€160).

Keep in mind that these prices are for the 8GB version of Moto G. Even though Motorola announced a 16GB Moto G will be available on the market, there's no telling when and if this particular model will be released in Australia anytime soon.

In order to tackle the need for more storage Motorola offers for a limited time 50GB of free cloud storage via Drive for two full years. This means Moto G owners will be receiving a total of 65GB of free cloud storage, it we are to add the usual 15GB included in the Google Accounts.

Another important thing worth mentioning is the fact that Moto G will arrive in Australia with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system onboard.

However, Motorola confirmed an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade will be available soon after release. No word yet on when exactly will be rolled out, but we suspect it won't take more than a month for Motorola to deliver.
