The dual-SIM Motorola Moto E is only available in a few countries, but it proved to be one of the most popular entry-level Android phones available in the market.

Since it was announced, back in mid-May, Motorola Moto E has been selling like hot cakes in India. The exclusive retailer for the Moto E India, Flipkart, has already sold out its stock a few times and is now looking to bring another shipment of units in the country.

However, the Moto E has been launched in Brazil and the UK as well, and it has proved to be similarly popular, though the smartphone is not selling as well as the device launched in India.

Nevertheless, Aussie customers anxious to get their hands on the Moto E will be able to do that beginning July 1. The folks over at AusDroid report that major Australian retailer The Good Guys have already opened pre-orders for both Black and White versions of Motorola Moto E.

The smartphone can be pre-ordered for only $187 (€128) outright, and the retailer claims that the smartphone will arrive in store on July 1. Also, The Good Guys also mentions that Moto E pre-orders usually ship in 2-5 days when stock is available.

The good news is that this is the dual-SIM version of Motorola Moto E, so users will be able to fit in two SIMs inside instead of just one.

More good news is that while Moto E ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, by the time it reaches Australian shores, Motorola may have already released the next Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for this smartphone.

The information was confirmed last week, when Motorola announced that it started the rollout of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for Moto X, Moto G and Moto E.

When it comes to hardware, the Moto E is quite decent for the price you pay. It comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Even though it packs only 4GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Motorola Moto E sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

There’s also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features video recording capabilities. The Moto E offers a range of connectivity options, including HSDPA (21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
