Motorola Mobility announced back in May that the MOTOGO! feature-phone will soon be available for purchase in Brazil. A few days after the company’s official statement, the handset hit shelves for R$ 329 (170 USD or 130 EUR).

Today, the US-based handset maker introduced another phone in Brazil, the Motorola MOTOGO! TV. Although this is another version of the original MOTOGO! handset launched a few months ago, the MOTOGO! TV comes with enhanced features.

According to Motorola, customers in Brazil can purchase the MOTOGO! TV, beginning today, for only R$ 399 (195 USD or 160 EUR) outright.

More importantly, this is a dual-SIM mobile phone, which was specifically designed to withstand any environment. In this regard, Motorola MOTOGO! TV features a dust-, dirt- and water-proof body and sports a scratch-resistant 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

Furthermore, the handset allows users to watch their favorite shows on open or digital TV from anywhere. The phone comes with customizable screens with widgets and shortcuts for quick access, as well as low data consumption rates.

On the back, Motorola MOTOGO! TV packs a 3-megapixel photo snapper. The handset also comes with FM radion, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included), Wi-Fi connectivity and EDGE support.

The latter allows uses to sync with their Gmail accounts, so their emails, contacts and calendar entries will always be safe, even if they lose the phone.

Motorola MOTOGO! TV is a cost effective device which can take two chips from different carriers, letting the user make the most of the best plans available. No matter where you are, you’re always connected to the TV shows and sports you love, as well as the people who matter most. Better still, you can choose how you speak to them, according to the plan offered by the carrier,” said Edson Bortolli, mobile products director, Motorola Mobility Brazil.
