Customers who wish to purchase the device can do so via multiple leading retailers in the country, including Flipkart and Saholic, AndroidOS reports. The smartphone costs only Rs 6,490 outright, which is about $120 or €90.
Micromax Smarty 4.0 A68 ships with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs a 1 GHz single-core processor.
Furthermore, the smartphone sports a decent 4.0-inch WVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM.
There are 2GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. It offers dual-SIM capability and embeds a 1600 mAh Li-Ion battery.
