Spotted last week on Micromax’s official website, Bolt A61 is now available for purchase in India for only Rs 4,989 ($80 / €60) off contract.

As AndroidOS points out, the smartphone ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform out of the box and packs a single-core Spreadtrum SC7710 processor clocked at 1GHz.

The budget-friendly Micromax Bolt A61 only packs 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, which, luckily, can be further expanded up to 16GB via microSD memory card.

It also offers dual-SIM support and a pretty decent 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

There’s also a 2-megapixel camera on the back and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone offers 3G and Wi-Fi support, along with Bluetooth 2.1 and microUSB. It is also worth mentioning that Micromax Bolt A61 is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery.
