The Indian market is really one of the most prolific when it comes to Android smartphones and tablets. There have been lots of devices announced in the last couple of days, so here is another one.

The Karbonn A2+ has been silently introduced in India and is now available for purchase via Infibeam. Customers who want this affordable smartphone should know that Infibeam states that the A2+ will ship in 6-7 business days.

The smartphone can be purchased for only Rs 4,690 outright, which is about $85 or €65. Karbonn A2+ is only available in black. Check it out here.

As expected, the A2+ offers dual-SIM (GSM / GSM) capability, which is a mandatory feature in India especially for low- and mid-range smartphones.

Obviously, don’t expect any mind blowing features, as this is one of the cheapest Android smartphones available on the market.

For under $100/€75, customers will get a decent smartphone powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.

On the inside, Karbonn A+ comes equipped with a 1GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 256MB of RAM and 200MB of internal memory. Luckily, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The phone also sports a 3-megapixel rear photo snapper and a more than decent 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The A2+ is powered by a 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

The phone operates on GSM 900 and 1800MHz frequencies and does not feature 3G support. However, users will be able to take advantage of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as GPS with A-GPS support.

Software-wise, it is worth mentioning that Karbonn A2+ comes preloaded with lots of useful apps and services, including Google Play, WeChat, Gmail, WhatsApp Messenger, YouTube, News, Weather and Outlook.
