Indian OEM Intex is about to debut another affordable Android smartphone, the Cloud Y4+. There's also a Cloud Y4 available one the market, but Intex decided an upgraded Y4+ version would sell well in India.

In fact, the name of the device should not matter that much, especially that we're talking about a budget phone. As the name suggests, this smartphone is part of Intex's Cloud Y series which is aimed at Android enthusiasts who cannot afford expensive handsets.

It offers most of the features an average user would want from his / her Android smartphone, so it should sell mildly well considering that there are literally hundreds of handsets in the same price range with similar specs.

Speaking of which, fonearena reports Intex Cloud Y4+ has just been listed on the official website of the Indian OEM, so it's not yet available for purchase.

However, when Intex decided it's time to bring the Cloud Y4+ on the market, the smartphone will be available for only Rs 5,990 outright, which is about $100 or €70.

That's not much, but considering the phone's specs sheet it's highly unlikely customers in India would pay more for the Intex Cloud Y4+.

The only selling point of the device, aside from the low price, is the fact that it offers dual-SIM (GSM / WCDMA) support with dual standby.

The rest of the phone's features include a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

Intex Cloud Y4+ is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and only 4GB of internal memory.

Luckily, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card; otherwise, they will be left with only 1.2GB of user memory.

Surprisingly, the smartphone offers 3G connectivity, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio and 1400 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by Intex.

It is also worth mentioning that the device comes with Martabhasha multiple language support, as well as lots of useful preloaded apps such as Skype, WeChat, NQ Vault, Quikr and more.

The Cloud Y4+ will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and it will go on sale in Blue, Red, Yellow, Black and White, in the next couple of days.
