Indian carrier Idea Cellular has just announced the immediate availability of the affordable ID-918 Android smartphone.Customers in India can now purchase the handset thorough Idea Cellular stores and leading retailers across the country for only Rs 5,994 (110 USD or 85 EUR).
It is also worth mentioning that as a special introductory offer, Idea Cellular is offering data services worth Rs 2300 (40 USD or 30 EUR) with Rs 259 pack.
With the Rs 259 pack customers will receive free subscription to Idea TV for 3 months, 2 GB of mobile data download per month for 3 months, as well as 10 minutes free every day for 90 days.
Keep in mind that the carrier's special introductory offer is currently available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
Aside from its affordable price, the Idea ID-918 comes with dual-SIM capability, which has become almost mandatory for low-end Android handsets.
Furthermore, the smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but there are no details on the phone's processor and storage amount.
In addition, this handset comes with changeable covers and a free 2GB memory card in the sales package. There's also a 3.2-megapixel main camera, a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
