We reported yesterday on the upcoming availability of Huawei Ascend Y210D, which was supposed to be officially unveiled on February 28.

However, it looks like the Chinese handset maker has decided to make it official much earlier, especially since the phone has been available for purchase for quite some time.

Customers in India can purchase the Ascend Y210D for only Rs 5,000 outright, which is about $90 or €70.

According to FoneArena, the smartphone is available in ceramic white and phantom black colors from Huawei Experience outlets and leading retailers across the country.

Huawei Ascend Y210D offers dual-SIM capability, along with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, 1GHz single-core processor and 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 320 pixels resolution.

Other highlights of the affordable Huawei smartphone include: 2-megapixel rear camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
