The smartphone might become official in the not too distant future

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is getting ready for the release of a dual-SIM flavor of the HTC One (M8) flagship smartphone, and the device has already made an appearance in Russia, at the company’s official certification agency.

The phone was confirmed for the first time back in April by the VP of HTC Russia, Andrey Kormiltsev, yet no specific info on when we might see it made available for purchase has emerged until now.

However, due to the fact that it has already appeared at the Russian Federal Communication Agency, the dual-SIM HTC One (M8) could be set to hit shelves sooner rather than later.

What’s interesting to note here is the fact that the new phone is listed in Russia with a removable 2600mAh battery inside, something that other variants of the device do not sport.

However, as PhoneArena notes, chances are that there could be a translation problem and that the phone will include the same non-removable cell as the single-SIM variant.

Unfortunately, an official announcement on when the smartphone will be released hasn’t been made as of now, so we’ll have to wait for it to arrive to learn more on HTC’s plans on the matter. Stay tuned for updates.
