The smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform
Dual-SIM Android smartphones are something common in emerging countries such as India and China, but in Europe, these are hardly among the popular devices available.Acer Liquid Z110 Duo has been recently introduced in the UK to fulfill the needs of those who do not want to carry two devices while on the go.
It’s also a cheap alternative to those who cannot afford a mid-entry Android smartphone. Acer’s Liquid Z110 Duo offers dual-SIM capability, along with Google’s operating system.
Sadly, the device is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box and most likely will be stuck on this version forever due to its low hardware configuration.
In this regard, Acer Liquid Z110 Duo is packed with a single-core MTK 6516 processor clocked at 1 GHz, which is complemented by only 256MB of RAM.
Although Acer claims that the smartphone comes with 4GB of internal memory, it appears that the Liquid Z110 Duo features only 256MB of storage.
At least that’s what Clove UK states on the phone’s page. Those who still wish to purchase the Acer Liquid Z110 Duo even after we revealed most of its specs can do so via Clove for just £110/€135/$175 outright. Check it out here.
It is also worth mentioning that the Acer Liquid Z110 Duo sports a decent 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 262k colors.
A microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB is included as well, so those worried of the low storage included by default can solve this problem by purchasing a microSD memory card.
On the back, the Liquid Z110 Duo features a 3-megapixel photo snapper with touch focus and video recording. Given the fact this is a low-end device, it does not come with a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.
Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a 1300 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 450 hours of standby time or up to 5 hours of talk time.
