Android enthusiasts in Australia will be happy to know that Samsung is about to release the dual-mode Galaxy S4 smartphone via Optus.

Although the handset was officially introduced in the country about two months ago, Samsung and Optus have yet to make it available on the market.

Luckily, this is about to change, as AusDroid reports that Optus has confirmed that it will launch the dual-mode Galaxy S4 by the end of the week.

The smartphone will be available for free with Optus $60 AUD ($55 USD / €41) My Plan with a $7 AUD ($6.6 USD / €4.8) monthly handset repayment.

The dual-mode Galaxy S4 comes with support for TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE technologies allowing users to access the carrier’s 4G network in more spots.

Aside from that, the dual-mode Galaxy S4 comes with the same specs as the original model. No word though on the identity of the chipset inside yet.
