Dual Hearts is a videogame developed by Matrix Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated. The game was released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony on February 14, 2002. The title is classed as an action adventure with some role playing game elements, is played from a third person perspective and features quite a bit of puzzle solving.
Dual Hearts tells the story of a young Ruineseeker, the equivalent of a fortune hunter in our reality, who is interested in finding the Dream Stone. The relic is important because in it, Nightmare has been imprisoned by an ancient sage who fought him in the eons when the real world and the dream world were reunited. The seven keys that have been linked to the Demons Stone are hidden away in the dreams of seven different persons and Rumble, the hero of the game, needs to enter them, solve the puzzles found there and get the keys. He has a companion in the form of a Baku named Tumble.
The game is mainly based around exploring the dreams of the seven persons while fighting the enemies thrown at the player using the so-called Holy Instruments, a spear and sword. They can also get onto Tumble and reach higher areas. The puzzles themselves are pretty average and usually easy to solve.
