They work at up to 1 GHz GPU and 5 GHz memory clock frequencies

XFX already has a bunch of factory-overclocked video cards up for sale, so it has figured that it may as well launch a pair that don't stray from reference specs, although it does have a custom cooler.

The new video boards are called Radeon R9 290X and 290 Double Dissipation, and bear the part numbers R9-290X-EDFD and R9-290A-EDFD, respectively.

The former has the GPU running at 1000 MHz and the 4 GB of GDDR5 at 5 GHz, while the latter has GPU and VRAM clocks of 947 MHz an 5 GHz, respectively.

On both, the cooler is a dual-slot Double Dissipation module (hence the name). Sadly, the prices aren't known, but they're likely close to the normal ones (which, unfortunately, are all pretty high right now, all because of virtual currency apparently).
