A recent poll showed that Australian cutie Kylie Minogue has been adopted by the Brits as British by an overwhelming percentage, so it’s only understandable to have her sell them the new Lexus CT200h. A new ad from the “Quiet Revolution” series has been released.

Kylie joined forces with the carmakers in January this year, becoming the ambassador of the CT200h, a car she describes as an equal blend of style and elegance.

A new ad from the series “Quiet Revolution” will be making its debut on British television in the days to come, featuring, aside from Kylie (or just her hands, for the sake of clarity), some of the world’s most famous drummers.

They are all included in the opening sequences of the ad, as our friends at AutoEvolution tell us. Their purpose is, of course, to introduce and serve as a contrasting note for the “quiet revolution” that starts every time the CT200h is set in motion.

“The musicians that feature in the television commercial, Drum Roll, represent the full spectrum of the music scene, from Pauli Stanley McKenzie from Gorillaz Sound System and ex-Smiths member Mike Joyce, to Joji Hirota and the Taiko Drummers and big band sticksman Vince Dunn,” says a press statement cited by AutoEvolution.

“Filmed in an equally wide range of locations – including almost 30 musicians gathered in the wide open spaces of London’s Bushy Park – they provide a loud and attention-grabbing prelude to the refined quietness of the CT 200h, with Kylie at the wheel,” the release further reads.

Teaming up with Kylie is meant to introduce the car to a new segment of the audience, presumably her younger fans. Seeing how she could probably use her winning smile to sell air, it’s not hard to see the reasoning behind the partnership.

“Kylie is an ideal brand ambassador for Lexus as not only does she have immense appeal, she is also innovative and has a great personality which will reach out and connect with new customers that the CT 200h will bring to Lexus,” Belinda Poole, Lexus Director, says.

Lexus is also the official sponsor of the British leg of Kylie Minogue’s tour, so expect to hear more of this in the weeks and months to come.

In the meantime, enjoy.
