Soldak Entertainment has released a demo for its upcoming starship action RPG, Drox Operative. The game features conflicting aliens, a dynamic and evolving galaxy, co-op multiplayer, and some fierce space battles, according to Soldak Entertainment.
Players of the demo get to explore a unique sector of the galaxy in every game, with different "monsters," ship components, quests, and even races. They can even upgrade their craft with components and crew, but co-op multiplayer is reserved for the full game.
There is no time limit, but the game stops around level 6, says Soldak. The demo
is about 120 MB in size. Other requirements include OS X 10.4 or above, a 1.5 GHz processor (PowerPC or Intel), 256MB RAM, GeForce 2 (or other equivalent), and 200MB of hard drive space.
Soldak says even Mac OS X 10.3.9 should be able to run Drox Operative, so long as OpenAL is installed first.
