Creators of Dropbox have just released a new version of their application for Android devices. The latest iteration of Dropbox brings some improvements and bug fixes, which will enhance the application’s overall stability and performance.

Dropbox users will now be able to take advantage of a new ability called “Video thumbnails.” Some major UI improvements have been included for Nexus 7 tablets as well, though developers did not offer more details on these tweaks.

Another important new feature made available with the latest version of the application will allow users to open Dropbox files directly from other apps. Last but not least, some bug fixes have been included in the update as well.

Dropbox 2.1.9 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 or later.
