A new version of Dropbox for Android has been made available for download for those who like being connected with their Dropbox account at all times, namely Dropbox for Android 1.0.1. The new flavor of the application was published in the Android Marketplace, but it comes with the same features as Forum Build 1.0.0.7, though with a nice range of bug fixes.

According to the development team, those who download and install the new version of Dropbox for Android should provide them with feedback, so that they would be able to fix any issues that still are present with the app.

“Please try us out and let us know if there are any issues (though there seem to be residual issues using 3G on some networks, so if you are having these types of problems and/or know enough about such things to help us get them working, let us know),” the development team notes on a recent forum post.

As stated above, the new Dropbox for Android 1.0.1 application comes with the same features as the Forum Build 1.0.0.7, to which we can add a series of bug fixes.

The list of fixes includes: - Fixed several issues with uploads and downloads - Notifications are filtered better, so shouldn't overwhelm the phone as much - Proxy settings are handled better - Fixed several network issues - Dropbox Service now shuts down when finished - Uploading large files should now happen fully in the background - .url files can be viewed properly again - Better handling of network and authorization errors

As for the features that were packed in the new release of Dropbox for Android, we can count a button in Settings to Clear Uploads, or the fact that account information is available when offline.

According to the development team, App2SD now works, though there might be some features that won't work if moved to the SD card.

Dropbox for Android 1.0.1 is available for download from Softpedia too, via this link.
