The cheapest storing, syncing and sharing solution currently available for Mac

Evenflow Inc. has updated its flagship product, Dropbox. This incredible cross-platform app is a cheap storing, syncing and sharing solution that can work wonders for anyone. Following some feedback, the developers nailed several of the bugs where clients falsely reported “downloading” when illegal characters were present in a file name, some “shared folder” issues, and more.

Dropbox works on both Windows PC and Mac OS X. This way, you can install the software on both systems, feed Dropbox some files on one computer, and see them synced on the other computer. Those files are instantly available to view, edit or do whatever you need to do with them. If you delete a file on a computer, the changes are reflected on the other. This works with more than just two computers. You can have Dropbox working for you on as many systems as you wish, including your iPhone.

Also, if you access a synced file and perform a change, as soon as you hit save from within the app used to make the modification, the syncing begins automatically. For those who are in the habit of emailing stuff to themselves from work to home, or vice-versa, Dropbox is a much better solution, especially when you later realize that one or more emails need to be re-sent, to reflect the changes that have occurred in the meantime.

Dropbox integrates into your menubar and, best of all, there's no complicated interface to learn. It lets you drag in as many files as you like for sharing, syncing or backing up, without having to specify certain steps or settings. The special "Public" and "Dropbox Trade Secrets" folders come in extremely handy when you want to share your files with others.

With the release of Dropbox 0.6.402 today, Evenflow has made a few code corrections, including:

· Fix for bug where client falsely reports “downloading” when illegal characters are present in a file name. · Fix to bug where sometimes shared folder renames would result in leaving of a share. · Client now notifies you on a change of quota(!). · Improvements to “move dropbox”. · Fix to issue where dropbox would “retouch” a file, irritating applications like xcode, etc.
