Dropbox today released a brand new experimental update for Mac, Windows, and Linux users, addressing issues with the tray pop-up menu, some graphics bugs, and more.

According to the release notes, Dropbox 2.7.36 Experimental fixes some problems with the tray popup menu and reportedly “prevents locked files from spinning the CPU.”

Spinning the CPU? I’m pretty sure the only things spinning in a computer today are the hard drive and the coolers.

The update further fixes a layout bug in the Windows shared folder settings dialog and includes other fixes as well.

To use Dropbox you’ll need at least 512 MB of RAM, free space on your computer equal to your Dropbox storage quota and, of course, a broadband Internet connection.
