Today, Dropbox rolled out a new update for the Experimental version of their client, bringing it to build 1.7.9. The stable release has also been updated (to 1.6.18) with no other notable changes than a repair for an issue that caused the appearance of zero-byte files when using programs such as Adobe Lightroom.
The experimental release is richer in modifications and fixes a bug where a bubble contained incorrect information. Also, a problem that prevented a notification's hover state from being cleared upon dismissing the popup has been eliminated.
Furthermore, Dropbox Experimental 1.7.9 changes the way a notification's title text is wrapped and does away with a quirk where dedicated video cards would get automatically enabled on devices running OS X.
