A new experimental build has been released for Dropbox. There are few modifications, but the highlight of this release is important for Mac users as it refers to Mountain Lion support as the binary is now Gatekeeper-approved for OS X 10.8.

However, considering that this is the experimental version of Dropbox, there may still be problems with this and you may get signature prompts.

Windows users also benefit from perks, as the newest feature introduced in this release lets you drag and drop your files on the app’s desktop shortcut in order to move them into your Dropbox.

The third thing on the list of modifications for Dropbox Experimental 1.5.7 is improving the LAN synchronization. This has been achieved by redoing the network card detection code. This may not work flawlessly and developers expect your feedback in case LAN synchronization breaks.
